"The Heartland region has been emptied out to do some much-needed spring cleaning. All current members of the region (including those who recently left) are most welcome to come back with the simple acknowledgement that they are willing to make a fresh start and wipe the slate clean in terms of grudges, blaming, etc. Just tm or pm Ineptia for the password, and you are back in! Please hurry back, all!"--Heartland regional factbook entry.
This afternoon game moderator and founder of The Heartland Ineptia ejected every single one of the region's 120 residents, including himself. They were all unbanned and asked to return soon. When our own Nolton Morrow spoke with Ineptia just a couple hours after the ejections, he told us he his purpose was to give a wake-up call. "[The region]was in a rut, with folks feeling the doldrums and not seeing a way to fix things. Petty grudges, feuds, and misunderstandings were ruining the RP and fun."
It should be noted that this is legal NS law -a mod did do it after all- because unlike Bradfordsburg, Ineptia is a founder who did not do this maliciously, nor flame much of the region and its (hypothetical) exile region, and does not have a prior history of griefing, being a game moderator and all.
If you one of the 90 nations currently still in the Rejected Realms, you are invited to return on the condition that you are willing to come back to the Heartland with a clean slate.
Drastic measures indeed, but some say it was bound to happen, "Hell they are a sheltered community with no influx of new nations no visitors" says 1 Infinite Loop, who assured us he was a good friend of Ineptia.
Last words from Ineptia? "After 16 months in existence, our region needed a good spring cleaning, and that's just what we did."
