A few days before the sixth month anniversary of the NPO I met with The Proletariat Revolution of Unlimited and was able to ask him nine questions, the first nine questions to any Pacific government official in five months. This is part of our continuing Feature on the sixth month anniversary of the NPO and the end of its isolation. He is a Senator in the New Pacific Order, holds the office of The Pacific Surveyor of Foreign Threat, and Provincial governor of the letter "U".
Hello, Senator Unlimited. I am Rigel Kent, SeattleCorp Broadcasting.
Remember, you were forewarned that I'm doing this interview on the spot. Heh. How about we start off by telling the world a little bit about yourself, Senator Unlimited, and your role in the New Pacific Order?
Hello Rigel.
Most people will know me simply as Unlimited, an NPO senator. I have never done much in the public eye, so I will forgive people for not knowing who I am. I am the "surveyor of foreign threat", my main role within the NPO, as you’d expect from the name, is to know everything about the regions and alliances around us in order that I should know what is going on and what bearing it has on the NPO.
Does the NPO have a Public Enemy Number One?
There are many people and alliances that like to think and boast that they are the Public enemy number one, but nobody is currently a big enough threat to merit such a title. However, if you ask about the Public Annoyance Number One, I could start giving out a few names.
Would you mind for our viewers?
CrazyGirl, Penngrove, Corinthe and of course Crazy Kitty (who created 125 UN puppets to attack the Pacific with) are the biggest offenders.
How long have you been with the New Pacific Order?
I was officially name as an NPO senator on the 20th of November
Three months ago last Friday. Can you tell me how you've seen the NPO and The Pacific change over those three months?
I have seen the NPO evolve from a new, small, vehemently opposed order, into a stable, efficient, recognised and expanding government. This has been shown by the recent addition of 27 Provincial Governors to the NPO and diplomatic recognition from many major regions and alliances (whether secretly or openly), such as The Meritocracy. Much of the initial opposition to NPO rule has seen the error of its ways in recent months and either defected to us or simply faced up to the moral and ethical bankruptcy of the terrorist groups. This is a clear sign of the times, a time when the New Pacific Order is no longer confined to the Pacific, but is free to blossom into inter-regional affairs and expand it’s ideals and philosophy to those who would heed it.
The Pacific is much the same as it has always been during NPO rule. Stable, organised and free. A far cry from the elitist monarchical days of TheDoc. The early days of constant attacks, flaming and spamming by the late Pacific Army have been and gone, leaving only a few lonely individuals to harass this otherwise peaceful region. Now we are free to clean up The Pacific and concentrate on other matters, which will benefit it further. Things like this new project to expand the Pacific government, as I stated before the Pacific is getting 27 Provincial Governors to make life easier and the government ore accessible to ordinary citizens. Projects like this are now free to flourish where once they would have posed a threat to the pacific, I think this small token of governmental expansion says everything about the advancement of The Pacific.
How has the role of Survey of Foreign Threat changed since November?
My role has seen dramatic changes since the first days I took my seat at the senators’ table. Initially the Pacific Army was the one real threat to the Pacific, using underhand tactics like game glitches and literally hundreds of UN puppets to try get their hands back on the delegates seat. However, as their greed for power began to destroy them they split into less significant groups. Groups such as the RFP, FPA, RPA and PIN all sprang up in selfish bids to gain control for themselves. Well, I believe it was Sun Tzu who said “Divide and Conquer”, so this couldn’t have gone better for Pacific security. Now, with the defection of their leaders and their soldiers fleeing to other alliances or fading into inactivity, these pacific based groups no longer pose a sizeable threat. Where they used to invade almost weekly, we have now not seen an invasion for months. This has allowed great pacific growth and prosperity, as I mentioned in the prior questions.
Threats now come from different areas of NationStates, but none are a serious threat to the present stable, popular and efficient NPO set-up. Organisations like the ADN have regularly claimed to be the most effective resistance to the NPO, with other alliances like TITO (who took part in attacks at the start of the NPO) growing to a formidable size. However, despite a lot of talk, neither of these groups seems to have the manpower or motivation to invade The Pacific anymore.
So, from the early days of uncertainty, frequent invasions and round the clock surveillance, the threats to The Pacific have decreased considerably until today, when most are hardly worth recognising.
A startling event for most was the arrival of an ambassador from the Meritocracy, Senator Daedalus, to the New Pacific Order. The NPO responded by sending their own representative to the Meritocracy, Senator Poskrebyshev. Could you give us the scoop on all this and what followed Senator Poskrebyshev's arrival in the Meritocracy?
The arrival of an ambassador from The Meritocracy wasn’t as surprising as it may have seemed. I believe The Meritocracy to be one of the best organised and intelligent alliances around (as anybody who read their public boards could confirm), it is for this reason that I always believed they would be one of the first alliances to publicly approach us. I held such a belief because unlike some alliances they have the ability to see through the propaganda and rhetoric thrown out by people like the RRA, ADN and FPA.
The NPO has the deepest respect for The Meritocracy, so we were delighted to get the chance to send senator Poskrebyshev as an ambassador. Overall I feel he has been received well by the senators of The Meritocracy, although there are a few who still seem to hold the outdated view that the NPO is an illegitimate government, despite it being the longest serving Pacific government ever, at nearly 6 months. Arguments like “you have banished the former government” have been used, what they fail to realize is that the former government has since been deleted for inactivity. Small, ill-informed arguments such as this have disappointed me, but overall I feel that The Meritocracy has welcomed our ambassador with the grace and dignity he deserves. (This is all taking into account that I do not hold The Meritocracy responsible for LadyRebels outrageous and hypocritical actions).
